What is Passive House?
A building standard that is truly energy efficient, comfortable, affordable and ecological at the same time. Passive House buildings allow for heating and cooling related energy savings of up to 90% compared with typical building stock and over 75% compared with average new builds.
Technologies
The building technology is monolithic foam-concrete construction. The additional wall insulation is 300 mm thick, and the total wall thickness is 590 mm. The ceiling is 500 mm thick, and the floor insulation is 130 mm thick. The houses have an integrated heat and humidity recovery ventilation system PICHLER, providing 120-350 cubic meters of fresh air per hour.

With the windows mounted into external wall insulation, the window installation was performed according to Meesenburg's Blaugelb system.

Glazing: Saint-Gobain ECLAZ, characterized by large light transmission and solar gains providing heating to the house in winter, triple-glazing (two of the glass panels are tempered and 6 mm thick). The glass chambers are filled with argon gas.
